Luximax®: a new era in ryegrass control

The wait is nearly over for wheat farmers Australia-wide, who have been anticipating the introduction of Luximax® Herbicide.

Developed for use in Australian Wheat (not durum wheat), Luximax is a breakthrough pre-emergent herbicide that offers a high level of residual control of annual ryegrass. It is expected to be registered in time for use in the 2020 crop, when Australian growers will become the first farmers in the world to experience the only herbicide in a class of chemistry called cineoles. Luximax will be the first new mode of action for ryegrass control in a generation.

Luximax strengthens existing integrated weed management strategies whilst providing up to 12 weeks’ residual control of ryegrass – including biotypes resistant to existing herbicides mode of action groups such as Groups D, J and K

BASF is committed to bringing new solutions to Australian growers so they can get the most out of their crops. Luximax is just the first product in an innovation pipeline that will soon be available to Landmark Rewards members. Stay tuned for information on these products that are due for launch in 2020 and find out more about Luximax here.
