This commitment extends to actively engaging with the community by participating in local events and supporting initiatives led by local farmers and groups.  

Gallagher’s partnership with Landcare Australia exemplifies its dedication to sustainability and the greater good. By funding over 60 electric fencing grants (with another 22 planned in 2023!), Gallagher supports local farmers and groups in their conservation projects, emphasising the company’s investment in sustainability and local initiatives. 

In addition to their environmental efforts, Gallagher has taken steps towards a better tomorrow by implementing sustainable packaging processes and recycling plastic waste into new products. By minimising plastic waste and exploring innovative packaging solutions, Gallagher demonstrates its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint. 

As part of this mission, and just one example of the extent of Gallagher’s community support, they committed to donating all proceeds from peg sales at Ag Fest Field Days in Carrick, TAS to Dolly’s Dream. Dolly’s Dream is an organisation dedicated to raising awareness on the impact of bullying on young people, and promoting kindness, respect, and inclusiveness in schools and communities across Australia.  

Gallagher pegs – known affectionately as the ‘World’s Best Pegs’ – make great gifts, hold up in harsh Aussie conditions, and are really popular among Gallagher customers on Field Days. As a result, Gallagher was able to donate $1,175 from peg sales on Do it For Dolly Day on 12 May, 2023 at Nutrien Ag Solutions, Smithton, TAS.  This contribution aims to support Dolly’s Dream in delivering high-quality counselling services and workshops that advocate for mental health, aligning with the charity’s message that “a little kindness goes a long way”. 

For Gallagher, sustainability in about the wellbeing of the land, its people, and the establishment of intergenerational trust and relationships. Continuing to support local communities and social causes remains a vital aspect of Gallagher’s overall mission and commitment to a sustainable future.
