VitaMinBuf and VitaMinBuf + PROTEIN

VitaMinBuf and VitaMinBuf + PROTEIN are highly palatable, nutrient-enhanced pellets that provide a balanced supply of vitamins, minerals, rumen buffers, yeast and a rumen modifier to optimise the health and performance of lotfed sheep.

Protein

Rice and rice bran contain protein of high biological value, meaning good availability of amino acids for absorption. Combined with your own quality protein sources such as lupins, faba beans or field peas, these ingredients provide the building blocks for a healthy immune system, and are vital for muscle growth and development, helping lambs to reach their genetic potential.

Macro-minerals

Calcium and phosphorus are critical for frame development, healthy metabolism and strong bones and teeth. Magnesium helps muscle function and managing stress. Electrolytes, including salt, potassium and magnesium are vital for balancing body fluids and maintaining nervous system health.

Rumen buffer

Acid Buf helps maintain a stable rumen pH, thereby reducing the risk of acidosis (grain poisoning), maintaining rumen function and improving fibre digestion.

Vitamins

Vitamin A helps eye health. Vitamin B is vital for health, metabolism and the efficient generation of energy for growth. Vitamin D aids calcium absorption. Vitamin E supports immunity, cardiovascular, circulatory and neuromuscular functions.

Rumen modifier

Bovatec® modifies the bacterial population in the rumen to help increase liveweight gain and feed conversion. It also aids in the control of coccidiosis, which left untreated can results in diarrhoea, dehydration, weight loss and in acute cases, death.

Micro-minerals

Selenium is important for muscle health and development. Chromium improves glucose and amino acid uptake in muscles. These organic trace minerals are more easily absorbed, providing better nutrition over inorganic sources. Copper and manganese support bone development. Zinc is valuable for growth and a healthy appetite. Other important micro-minerals include cobalt, iodine, iron and sulphur.

Anionic salts

Anionic salts are used to acidify the urine to help prevent the development of urinary calculi (urethra stones), which can block the urethra and prevent urination, causing pain and ultimately death.

Yeast

Yeast promotes the growth of rumen microflora, thereby helping to create a stable rumen pH and improving rumen function, digestion and feed intake. It enhances the absorption of nutrients, especially in young lambs under stress.

Mycotoxin binder

Pastures, grains, legumes, silage and hay often contain moulds and fungi which produce mycotoxins that can cause respiratory, gastrointestinal and neurological issues. Binders capture these toxins in the digestive tract before they are absorbed into blood, removing them via excretion.
